Friends Of NRA
John and Sharon Lankford would like to invite all club members to the annual Friends of NRA dinner and auction being held on February 28, 2013. This event is being held at the Holy Smoke in Whipple Ohio. This fun night will include dinner, an auction of guns and various collector items, tables of silent auction items, gun raffles, games, door prizes and many other fun events.
The money collected from this event supports the area 4-H shooting sports, Women on Target, Fort Harmarís youth programs and other youth and adult education programs. All of the money collected is used by the NRA to support shooting sports and education. None of the money is used for political purposes.
Fort Harmar Rifle Club has benefited from this event in the past by receiving grant money to support our 4-H youth program and Women on Target program. This is a worthy event. Please contact John or Sharon Lankford at 740-373-4574 for tickets, prices and any other information. They are also looking for items for the auction and silent auction. If you have anything give them a call.

Fort Harmar Rifle club IDPA matches run solely on the help of volunteers. Each match requires approximately 20 volunteers plus at least one Safety Officer for each stage of every match. We would like to have at least 5 stages at every regular IDPA match.
Last year, Lisa Fought did a tremendous job getting our volunteers together for each match. This year you can help her out by reviewing the match schedule and picking a date to volunteer. Call Lisa Fought at 740-350-3597 or 740-423-6026 and let her know what date or dates you would like to help out. You can also e-mail her at
Be sure and leave your name, number and chosen date and Lisa will give you a reminder call one week in advance.
Remember, every member of FHRC is expected to volunteer at least once for a match or a work day. You donít have to have any experience to volunteer at a match ñ We will train you.

Other Matches
IDPA is not the only type of match that FHRC sponsors. Our club also puts on Glock and Glock style matches, 3 gun, long range cowboy, Women on Target, youth days and several other events. Each event also requires volunteers to be successful. Go online to for a complete listing of all the matches sponsored by FHRC. Call Lisa or the match directors for your chosen event to volunteer. All volunteers are greatly appreciated.

Win a Gun!
Every volunteer that shows up and works a match has their name put in for a gun drawing at the end of the year. Volunteer, help out, maybe win a Gun!
