Women on Target
The Women on Target program held September 28th was a huge success. About 30 volunteers coached 91 women through the program. A great time was had by all. The program exceeded expectations by a wide margin. The Women on Target organizers would like to thank every volunteer. Without you this program would not have been such a huge success.
Family Fun Day
The date for the family fun is fast approaching. A special edition of this newsletter with all the details went out a few days ago. We have gotten a few RSVP's but not many. The deadline for replies is next Sunday night. We need a accurate count of attendees so supplies can ordered. If you plan on attending please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Sunday evening October 13th. The date is October 19 and it starts about 11am. We plan on eating at noon. Bring your family and come out and enjoy a day with the club. There will be multiple demonstrations of events our club offers as well as open areas for you to shoot and have some fun of your own. Please remember to bring eye and ear protection and keep your little ones close. Any child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Cowboy Shoot Corrections
Last month the newsletter reported the hours of the cowboy match scheduled for Sunday October 13 incorrectly. It is a night match that will run from 6pm to 10pm. The previous reported hours for the Long Range Cowboy match are correct. If you have any questions about the cowboy match, please contact Marshal Coal Run Willey AKA dale Wilson at 740-525-3663.
At this month's club meeting last Wednesday a discussion was held about next year's club budget. It was decided to form a committee to put together a budget. If any one is interested in sitting on this committee please contact Russ Tuten at email@example.com
Historical Military Gun Match
October 27th is the day for this exciting event. The club is currently collecting things such as junk cars, appliances and other items to destroy at this match. If you have never been to this club event before, don't miss it. The area's automatic firearms owners get together twice a year for a day of explosive fun and rock and roll. Machine gun style! It starts about 9am and runs until 3 or 4 in the afternoon.
Toys for Tots Match
The next scheduled IDPA match at Fort Harmar is set for Sunday November 24th. We will also be having a bug gun as well as a PPC match that day. The entry fee for the IDPA is an unwrapped toy valued at $10 that will donated to the Toys for Tots. The marines will be there to collect the toys. We are currently starting a list of volunteers for this match. If anyone is interested in helping please e-mail Don or Lisa Fought at firstname.lastname@example.org
